Nonviolence
Family Services Alliance operates a domestic violence offender treatment program that is approved by and complies with all the standards set forth by the Idaho Council on Domestic Violence & Victim Assistance & the Committee for the Oversight of Domestic Violence Batterer Treatment Programs.
FSA has two weekly groups for males and one for females.
Group participants are expected to attend weekly (only four absences are allowed during the 52 weeks), participate in discussions, and complete weekly written homework assignments. When applicable, FSA communicates regularly with probation officers and court personnel on participant’s progress.
While many Nonviolence Program participants are Court-ordered to the Program, we do have some participants who attend on a voluntary basis because they have decided to be proactive about eliminating abuse and violence from their relationships. FSA welcomes these clients. Some requirements for voluntary participation may be altered; but regular attendance, group participation, and completion of homework assignments are vital in achieving the program’s learning objectives.
ALL participants pay a $50 enrollment fee (includes the course textbook) & $25 per group.
